• 30 minutes - £150 (including VAT and landing fee)

Flight Training Rates

• £265 per hour (including VAT and landing fees)

Self-fly Hire

• £195 per hour (plus VAT and landing fees)

Helicopter flying is not cheap. But it is not as expensive as people think. It compares with activities such as sailing or golf, and a friend of mine spends as much on her two horses as I used to on helicopter flying. As a PPL(H), you might decide to hire a helicopter and fly with family or friends to a hotel for lunch, landing in the grounds. This would probably cost no more than, say, a day trip to France, since you would only pay for the hours actually spent flying…and what an experience!
